About GPTY

海洋プラスチックやマイクロプラスチックの問題など、プラスチック汚染は

私たち人間を含むあらゆる生態系への影響が危惧されています。

さらにプラスチックは生産過程で温室効果ガスを排出するため、気候変動の大きな要因にもなっています。

これらの問題を背景に、2022年の国連環境総会（UNEA）では、プラスチック汚染をなくすための

法的拘束力のある「国際プラスチック条約」を締結することを各国政府間が合意しました。

これまで各国で複数の国際会議（INC）が開かれ、条約締結は終盤に差し掛かっています。

　GPTYは、プラスチック汚染を終わらせるため、野心的で実効力のある条約の締結に向けて、

ユースの声を政府や行政に届ける活動をしています。

Conducted an exchange dialogue with the Chiyoda University Consortium on youth engagement and sustainability communication.
Held an exchange meeting with Patagonia regarding environmental awareness and civic participation.

Participated in a hearing session with Japan’s Fisheries Agency regarding plastic-related environmental issues.
Attended the UN INC-5.2 negotiations in Geneva and organized a public debriefing session in Japan.
Co-hosted a workshop and spoke on the main stage at Global Festa 2025.
Organized the Kanda Plastic Citizens’ Forum.
Initiated collaboration with students from Minerva University on international sustainability dialogue.

Submitted a joint youth statement to Vice Minister of the Environment Yagi and other officials.
Organized the Japan Youth Plastic Conference.
Co-hosted a workshop at Global Festa 2024.
Submitted policy recommendations to Vice Minister of the Environment Nakata and related officials.
Delivered policy recommendations to Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), and Komeito.
Spoke at the 2nd International Plastic Symposium in Tokyo.
Attended the UN INC-5 negotiations in Busan and organized a public reporting session afterward.
Organized the Japan–Korea Youth Plastic Conference in Busan.

Participated in an environmental youth dialogue event hosted by the Italian Embassy in Japan.
